..Diwali is a time of celebration, fun and food! Every year i try lot of new dishes in the evening of diwali after pooja .. So i tried to make paav baaji using preethi turbo chop… … I use to avoid making paav baaji as its a long procedure but after using prethi turbo chop it has become very easy to make chopping, pureeing, chutney grinding , nuts grinding and much more we can do in a fraction of seconds.
Potatoes 4 medium
Tomatoes 4 medium
Onions 2 medium
Garlic 8-10 cloves
Beans 1 cup
Green capsicum 1 medium
Fresh coriander leaves 1/4 cup
Green peas shelled 1/4 cup
Oil 3 tablespoons
Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
Red chiilli powder 1 tsp
Tumeric powder 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Pav bhaji masala 1 1/2 tablespoons
Butter 3 tablespoons
1) Wash, peel and roughly chop fine all the vegetables(carrot,beans,beetroot,capsicum) & potato (as we have to cut in 2 pieces)… Add the vegetables to a pressure cooker with a glass of water and salt to taste. Cook for up to 3 whistles.
2) When the pressure is gone, let it cool before grinding to a puree. and take the potatoes peel it and put in preethi turbo chop it like this and keep aside….
3) Take onion cut into big pieces and put in preethi turbo chop and chop it
and then tomato seeperately ..keep it ready
4)In a kadhai just melt butter add as asafoetida ,garlic & fry. Now add onions and saute till dark brown. Add tomatoes &some peas and cook till the oil separates
5)Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder, pav bhaji masala, salt and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
6)Take the bolied vegetables vegetables smash in preethi turbo chop &add to the kadai and add some water and allow to cook for 5 to 10 mins…
7)I get fresh pav readymade from outside… Slice each pav into 2 horizontally.
8)Apply a little butter to each side
9)Heat a large tava and cook the pav on both sides till the pieces are lightly browned
10)Now garnish the bhaji with coriander leaves, remaining butter and serve hot with pav & chopped onion and lemon..
