I’ve always had a sweet tooth, and wish to explore all the sweetness in the city. Recently, I wanted to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and we decided to try out this new place, Cream Chemistry, located at multiple places in Chennai- Besant Nagar and Anna Nagar. We decided to visit the latter and to our surprise, the place was such well built with creative interiors, it impressed us on another level instantly.
The menu had so many variations and options of ice cream that it was hard to order anything specific, so we decided to order some, and were totally excited to try it out.
So, we tried out these few many ice creams and shakes.
1.KIWI LAND :
Simply, one of the best ice creams for all the kiwi lovers, the ice cream is mashed into four cylindrical rolls with the kiwi squash is used as dressing on top of the rolls gives it a very appealing look, wanting to gobble it as soon as possible.
The perfect flavour for the perfect season. Tango mango gives you a ripe and a fruitful ride through its khatta-meetha taste that gives a soothing and sparking flavour to your taste buds. It is definitely in my must-try list.
The word “OREO” itself makes us have an exceeding expectation from the product. To be honest it does not defy its expectations and gives us a good treat. The serving as usual was phenomenal. The chocolate sauce used for dressing, gives it a chocolatey taste to oreo, which makes it up a deadly combo!
As, the name suggests, people who love chocolate would love this. The serving consists of your favorite, chocolate ice cream rolled into, with a brownie cake on top of them, dipped in chocolate sauce gives it a mouth-watering and craves us. This one also features in my must-try list.
The most trending flavour currently around Chennai, and in this particular one, there is a fusion of charcoal and Nutella that creates such an irresistible taste. It is served with yummy and colourful sugar crunchies. Its our families favourite Icecream so far😍
6.NUTTY CHOCOLATE SHAKE:
The blend of nuts and chocolate and milk is always a mind-bobbling one, which can refresh any mind at any moment. This drink also has all the nutrients in the world that makes you feel energised and can fill your stomach. It is served in a ‘test-tube’ glass which looks appealing and phenomenal.
What can be better if we don’t end with a pan? The Pan Banaras is the hand-made ice cream where ingredients like gulkand, pan(squashed) and ice cream. Topped with white chocolate chips, gives it an amazing taste. This also makes to my must-try list.
On the whole, this was one of my greatest experience exploring stuffs in Chennai. I would also rank this place highest in terms of ice creams, a must-visit place with your friends and family
Every mother’s day is a very special one. As we honour the motherhood and spread love for all the mothers. Express Avenue Mall, the premium destination shopping mall of Chennai, as a token of love to all the mothers out there, celebrated Mother’s day organized by various organizations with some amazing activities for its patrons on Mother’s day.
It was a fun filled day with loads of prizes where the mall had fun events planned for mothers and their children to commemorate Mother’s Day. The ambience of the mall was as usual to its best, with a great turnout. The events planned were that of jigsaw hunt, makeup marathon, two player games etc.
Merry Go Around’s Jigsaw hunt :Merry Go Around’s Jigsaw hunt :The Jigsaw hunt, a prototype of that of a treasure hunt, to start off with, was an event that required utmost care and planning was taken out so well with perfection. Major credits for this astounding success belongs to Merry-Go-Around, a children’s club, based in Chennai. However, the motive of this event was not a competitive one but was to emphasise and bring out the true-affection of a mother and her child.Various tasks were allotted to each mother-child duo with added support from retail stores present within the premises of the mall. They also conducted mini-games such as dumb-charades, memory games etc. between the mother and kids to check how well they know each other. Thanks a ton to Merry Go Around for connecting kids with mother’s in a unique way away from techie gadgets.. Gifts given also to the best mom and child pair, and the one who came first in the Jigsaw hunt ..All mother’s who participated won hand full of amazing vouchers through sponsor like Puma, Naturals — beauty saloon, home centre, The children’s palace, Pavers England, Funcity, Golden wok etc.. There were so many games were me and my son won puma voucher too😍Makeover Marathon :
The “Makeover marathon” organized by Lifestyle stores for the mothers was an initiative to make the mothers bold and beautiful. They too added on events, including mothers and their daughters, dancing and singing their way along and having a great time putting up a show for the remaining audience as well. Me and my daughter won nykaa lipstick and nykaa nail polish …
The children’s Palace event:
The children’s palace also conducted a two day event for kids where participants won vouchers for their mothers..My daughter won voucher for me😍
Commenting on the event, Munish Khanna, Chief Revenue Officer of Express Avenue said, “The event was organized to encourage mothers and their children to enhance their bond, and what better way than to celebrate this bond on Mother’s Day! We have been planning such an event since a while now and we are very happy with the way it fell into place. We strive to organize and host events like the same in the future and we express our immense gratitude to those who stepped forth to be part of this event.”
On the whole, it was the best mother’s day experience for me, spending quality time with my kids at such a valuable and our very-own Express Avenue Mall. Thanks to Merry Go Around for this opportunity to participate this event which made my day more special😍
When I heard of TEASERS ♥️ , located at Forum Vijaya Mall , I was so much excited to visit the shop and try it …. Its a unique and creative outlet as the name says TEAsers, they make yummy drinks with the uniqueness of tea and bubble beads, which bursts and gives a unique flavour that your taste-buds cannot wait to relish. These innovative drinks are also healthy and delicious. We totally loved it to the core and enjoyed it.
History of TEAsers :
TEAsers offers an exotic variety of bubble tea with range of refreshing fruit flavours & milk based teas served with cold or hot tapioca bubbles/balls. This is a popular and evolutionary drink that is served with delicious nudge to tea infusions. They use freshly brewed tea leaves from the finest manufactures and the fruit flavours concentrates that go into the drink along with the popping bobas are acquired from their loyal established partners who manufacture the same with very high standards.
Woman behind TEAsers:
TEAsers has also expanded to online ordering and delivery. It boasts of signature products ranging from delicious double-chocolate pudding milk tea to healthy choices such as yakult green teas, with the added effort to lower the calories while maintaining the best value for its customers. All components are 100% vegetarian. The credits for coming up with this kind of an innovation goes to a woman, Ms. Kripa, who has set herself as an example for other women. TEAsers have been started in Vadapalani, Ambattur, Nungambakkam and Coimbatore. Best wishes Kripa for much more.
At TEAsers we call them “NaughTEA Bobas”. These are small juice balls that add the much needed twist to the drink. The shell is made from Seaweed extract, with delicious fruit burst flavours inside!
Tapioca pearls :
They are small marble sized black chewy toppings found at the bottom of your bubble tea. They can sometimes be found to be white or transparent depending on the ingredients of the pearl. We at TEAsers use the black pearl which includes sweet potato, cassava root and brown sugar.
Bubble TEA :
Bubble tea was originally created as a tea-based drink that was invented in the 1980’s in tea shops in Taichung, Taiwan. As in the name, most bubble tea drinks contain a tea base mixed with fruit flavor or milk. TEAsers introduces this wonderfully tasting drink to all age groups; from school going toddlers, fun loving youths, happily wedded couples and to the gracious grandparents. Bubble tea ,also known as pearl milk tea, bubble milk tea, boba tea, or simply boba. That’s an interesting one with so many varieties to choose. They had two major kinds, the one with the milk and the one without the milk. If you don’t like the smell of the milk then you can go for the one without the milk in which the flavours are strong. I personally loved the milk base though.
My favourite bubble tea :
After a dilemma, I finally came up with a drink that impressed me, I ordered based bubble tea with honey dew flavored with grape jelly . It was really wonderful and tempting. . Its immensely satisfying when the slippery balls stream up the straw and fill your mouth. You will find yourself slurping pointlessly (and loudly) at the dregs to hoover up every last drop, until you realize sadly that the experience was over.
I also tried Chocolate milk bubble tea with tapioca, Lychee fruit bubble tea with mango boba which were So yummy and totally refreshing!.. Both were upto the mark and of good quality: the tea was tasty, and the bubbles were nice and soft. You can choose the type of Bobas you want. There are the chewy ones, the soft ones like water bubbles, the jelly kinda ones and many other varieties of boba. They also serve Madras Mudka Tea , cookies and some other Hot Beverages too.
Melting cookie purely veg with vanilla icecream:
Cookies and vanilla ice-cream base are not as creamy as regular ice cream so when they melt, they do so cleaner and quicker,,, It was so delicious with the amazing ultimate melt in your mouth which makes us visit again and again..
I love this place the bubble tea is super tasty and is really good! Plus the atmosphere is super cute! It’s well decorated …. Even a diabetic can drink here! Just ask our Bubble makers to add half sugar or make it sugar free. I highly recommend this place!

Do you Want to have a Punjabi affair of food? And most importantly in Chennai? Then you have less to think about! Here’s a new restaurant with a Punjabi twist. The perfect decorum and mix up of spices in the best way possible, makes this restaurant one of the top picks in Chennai. When we entered the floor was quite full so I am glad we made a reservation ahead. The place is very vibrating, staff so helpful and friendly. The menu served here is mainly Indian and Chinese. One of the main reasons for its popularity is the delicious food items which are prepared using the correct blend of spices.
The most important factor of any restaurant anywhere in world would be, its venue and the interior designing of the place. “THE PATIALA HOUSE” ticks in all the boxes in the above aspects. Situated at Chetpet , this will become a sure shot hub of some amazing food.
Starting off with the starters, they provide multiple varieties of soups, off which the Manchow soup, hot & sour soup and lime coriander soups stands out from the rest.
They also got the best-in-town paneer classics that would definitely impress and to name a few of the top picks, Achari panner, Schezwan paneer and Dragon paneer.
Apart from paneer-classics some other mind-bobbling starters include Butter baby corn, Veg. Galoti kebab and stuffed dingri are the starters that you definitely shouldn’t miss. I bet you will be so much in love with the starters that you will repeat the order!! You must definitely try this new syringe paani puri..
Moving to the main course, the much awaited Punjabi star dish of Sarso Da Saag and Makkai Di Roti, and adding on to that, the combo of Pudina Paratha/Garlic Naan and the Patiala Paneer/dal makhani makes your tongue go crazy and is definitely worth a try.
The Punjabis however don’t crave much for rice-varieties but the PATIALA HOUSE does not lack in these varities and the Veg. Tawa Pulav is the best pick of all the rice varieties out there. The perfect blend of spices and paneer, makes it the must-have dish.
Finishing things on a sweet note is as important as how MS Dhoni finishes things for the Indian cricket team. Yes!! I am talking about the irresistible desserts! As expected, the lassi and chaas(buttermilk) would be on the cards for a typical Punjabi restaurant.
But the highlight of this restaurant is the varieties and combinations of the desserts. The types of lassi available were, Sweet Lassi, SPL. Lassi, Kaake di Lassi and others, of which these three I tried impressed me the most. The restaurant also offers handful varieties of ice-creams, mojitos and mocktails. The paan ice of Patiala house, is the best ever I have ever had. There is nothing better than that. The combinations of mojitos and mocktails also impress me the most and the names of these mocktails creates a different level of curiosity within us.
The Fire and Ice mocktail, as the name suggests is a blend of sweet and spice with sugar coated at the brim of the glass and chillies and ice cubes floating making the mocktail really spicy. It burns down the throat and gives you chills. Maybe they couldn’t have chosen a better name than this for this mocktail.
There are varieties of shots available too. The one that impressed me the most was the pan-flavoured shots. The other unique fact about this restaurant is that they offer sweet pan and other flavours of pan, making it a complete round- up of the ‘feels’ of northern India.
You can visit The Patiala House at 47/23, Ground Floor, Spurtank Road, Chetpet, Chennai

PATIALA HOUSE is a nice place to enjoy some quality time. The food is of good quality and service is really nice. Me and my family had a amazing time . I will definetly visit again with friends . You can also visit this place with your gang of friends to enjoy a hearty meal. To avoid any hassles, you can also book your seats in advance. I love being a woman because I am free to express my emotions. I can try , fail, fall, cry, learn, fight, rise and express whatever and whenever I feel. I try my best to teach my Son to respect women and teach my daughter to live with dignity. I m a homemaker and a mother. Being a mother you start loving things more purely because it’s the best feeling. I love being whatever I am as every success is a reward and every failure is a lesson. We women can bring change in our lives, in our family life and also contribute to society.
How I decided to be a stay-at-home mom:
I never in a million years thought I wanted to be a stay at home mom. I was raised in a very feminist household where the woman needed to work and contribute to society. My parents actually thought I would be the first woman president. (Sorry, mom, not likely). So it was hard for my family to come to grips with the fact that this was what I wanted to do. But, like always, they supported me. When my husband and I decided I should be a stay at home mom, we agreed that that’s what I would be, a MOM. I am not a stay at home housekeeper.
I love being a stay at home mom:
The moment I came to know that I’ve given birth to a baby girl, it was like a dream come true and my most memorable moment. I always wanted to have a daughter, but it was something that was not in my hand. Everyday I thank God for blessing me with a baby girl who is a 15 year old teen now. I don’t think that there should be any specific reason to love one child, rather it should be an unconditional one. It’s because of my daughter that I am able to re-live my childhood and do all the girly stuff. I love to dress her up with all the beautiful accessories (which I must have missed if it were a baby boy )I love the moment when she comes back from school, steps out of the bus and hugs me. Her smile makes me forget everything be it anger or a sad moment. She loves helping me out in daily chores, though my work increases after that. She loves me unconditionally.. it doesn’t matter whether I am dressed up properly or not, whether I’ve got few grey hairs, roly-poly, for her I am just her mother, though at times she asks me to dress up the way she wants. It’s because of her that I’ve changed myself, to following a healthy diet, going for walks & much more. It’s still a learning phase with her.Truly blessed to have a baby girl & just want people to stop female foeticide. Let a girl be born in every home, and you’ll feel the difference that a girl brings in a family.
How I started working from home :
I wanted to make working from home real for myself more than I wanted anything else in the world . I had no idea where to start, what steps to take, how to make it happen. Then a little voice inside my head said “You love to write – there has to be a way you can write”! So I starting blogging. I was not a expert so I did a lot of research. I realized that if you want to make money at something, you need to LEARN to do it RIGHT!! I quit watching TV, quit surfing Facebook, quit shopping and cooking and showering and sleeping, as I learnt the ropes. One year later, I was earning a full time income from blogging. I am now enjoy earning for my baby and working for myself and home. My husband is very supportive and encourages me whenever I feel down. He is the backbone of my life 💕❤️
