Desi Di – Now at Poes Garden!!

If you love quirky restaurants with vibrant pop art and delicious Indian food with a twist, head to Desi Di restaurant. Its located on the centre of the city, silent area at Poes Garden.

Desi Di is an Indian restaurant with amazing and great fusion which serves you twisted food hog spot to hang out with friends or family as it’s the mix of taste and flavours.

The menu was carefully curated by Chef Aaron Coutinho who explained us how they serve food with shudh desi touch. He took lot of time to explain each and every dish to us. He is not just creative but the seasonal and plan is focused on the chutneys, dip and slides. The taste of all dishes remains pretty unique.

The ambiance is cool and colorful.The interiors also offer some nostalgia. There is an old hand-wound gramophone, the front portion of a Tata truck, amazing wall paintings, old Tiffin box, vintage tables and steel chairs.

Get ready for an explosive dose of flavours. We start off with

Litchi Jamun juice which tasted divine.

Lemon Barley Shinkanji is made with boiled barley and lemon zest which is so refreshing.

Paneer Burji Khakra was really amazing with the combination of onion,tomato and paneer.

Sweetcorn and drumstick soup

I totally loved the fresh sweetcorn combined with the goodness of drumsticks and drumstick leaves.

Dosa Waffle with Multi Swag Paneer was the best combination I ever had.
Dosa batter in Waffle maker is a simple and interesting idea .. All credits goes to the chef.

Also enjoyed naan with Balti Paneer which is a Pakistani dish.

Multi millet khichadi with kadi was really awesome with desi touch.

Butta Kebab is the treat to mouth with the combination of soft corn with cucumber sauce.

Healthy Veg Cutlet Chops made with beetroot.

Vada Bao is the version of the classic Bombay vada Pao made with steamed homemade bun.
Vada baav steamed is served with Maharashtrian garlic chutney.

I totally enjoyed it.Green apple jelabi ,Gulab Jamun and Cheesecake was the desserts served to us which is divine, tastier than ever.

Last but not least Sulaimaan Tea is the best tea with the real essence.

Paint Party at Klay Centre

I have always wanted a tribe of friends during my mothering years. But those early motherhood days couldn’t find any but recently joined

Chennai Mom Tribe which is run by

Arul Mozhi , Dimple Surana

and Shruti Ravindran

to explore new things and make new friends. I missed their first meet by chance so was very eager not to meet any meet in the future. Their second at fab cafe made me learn yoga, doubts from a gynecologist and some beauty tips.

I love painting and was so much excited about the third event Paint party and it was fabulous. We had lot of fun with colors and really had an amazing painting session with lovely Artish Pragati Gunashekar who bought out the artist in all of us and Klay Play School at anna nagar was our venue.She taught us how to use the brush, mix colors, do strokes and paint..

The session went for three hours and ended up with a amazing painting. Not only me but each and everyone did justice and the painting came out very well.. Here is my painting with acrylic colors.

I was amazed to see how every little thoughts and details went into making this meet a success. It was a full house, and no, am not joking! Made possible thanks to chennai mom tribe and to #KlayPrepSchoolAndDayCare
who took good care and kept little ones engrossed while the ladies enjoyed the painting session.

I totally loved the garden area with slide were kids having amazing fun.
